The Palm Garden Hotel in Chiang Rai exceeded our expectations. The value for money was excellent, with reasonable prices for both the rooms and the restaurant. The attention to detail was evident throughout, from the shiny wooden floors in the rooms to the basic amenities provided. The hotel's location, right in the heart of Chiang Rai, made it convenient for exploring the night market and the town area.
Our stay at this hotel was fantastic. No improvements needed.

We were surprised to be welcomed by Tim who spoke perfect English. Tim, an American and his Thai wife own and manage the hotel. We only spent a night there, but were pleasantly surprised and would recommend the Palm Garden without hesitation.
If you want to be within walking distance of town, this is not the hotel for you, although town is a short five minute taxi drive away. However, we were passing through and were looking for a hotel near the airport. In that respect, it fit the bill perfectly.

This hotel is excellent! Unfortunately we both got sick during our stay there but the hotel staff was so extremely kind to take care of us! For 2 nights we had to stay in the hospital and the managers were visiting us twice a day! They arranged a lot of things for us. We didn't have to worry a moment, thanks a lot! So a big, big plus for the staff :D!

Good room and good food
The 1.2 km to the city centre that they put in the booking com ,was more like 3 km when I said some thing to the hotel they said in was to the memorial ,so why put one thing and say another ,then you have to pay 80b in and out of the city ,ok for one day but not for a week or two.

The hotel owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. When my wife and baby are still sleeping in the hotel room, they offered to bring the breakfast to my wife without me asking for it.
The bathroom tiles are slippery when wet...I Almost slip and fall at least twice inside!
